Core Sample: Taiwan

 Core Sample is a collaborative series installed in the woods with pneumatic flora & fauna elements which react to the presence of viewers. Atop the mound, there is an embedded electromagnet that levitates an acorn, the symbol of hope in this futuristic land in which nature has taken over & merged with technology. This acorn is powered wirelessly to illuminate brighter with greater distance between the viewer. This heart of the piece symbolizes the threats humans pose to nature. These robotic breathing elements take on a life of their own as they invite viewers to each of their portals in Taiwan & North California.
